The door is open.
Why wont you leave?
Little Blackbird, the sky is waiting for you.
Yet all you do is sit with your bars,
Dreaming of wind keeping you in the air.
Little Blackbird, why don't your wings work?
You try and try, but you cannot break free.
How does your cage hold you still?
Little Blackbird, is it easier to dream?
Imagining and pretending to live outside?
Is flying in your mind enough?
Little Blackbird, you could be so much happier.
But you're content for now.
You don't know anything to miss.
Little Blackbird, if you don't use your wings now, they will fail you.
When you gather the courage to fly, you wont be able.
Your wings will be stiff and old.
Little Blackbird, I know you're scared.
I know this is hard for you.
You must feel very lost.
Little Blackbird, I know you don't believe.
But you need to try.
Try with everything you have.
Little Blackbird, be bold.
Rest closer to the threshold.
Poke your beak between the bars.
Little Blackbird, you'll get there eventually.
One day, you will step out and be free.
You will be flying without realizing until you turn and see your cage shrinking in the distance.
Little Blackbird, this is what you deserve.
This is what you can achieve.
Its what's good for you.
Little Blackbird, fight.
Give it your all.
You'll make it there one day.
Then, Little Blackbird, you'll be free.
:) love it jen
