V-day

Valentine's day sucks. Its a commercialized holiday that either forces couples to feel awkward about each other for a day, makes them mushy even though they already were, or it allows those who are either single or heartbroken or both to mull over the fact that they are alone and unloved. It also throws the love of others into those lonely peoples faces and reminds them of what love could be like or what it was like. Its truly a disgusting holiday.

But it does allow me the opportunity to speak out about love.

I love love. I love that people love. I love the honesty, the vulnerability, the passion, the beauty of love. I love that there is an emotion that brings a happiness so......pure, so perfect that it can allow a person to achieve their dreams, inspire great art, even give meaning to a lost life. Love is kinder than the sweetest person. Love is more powerful than any weapon. Love is more valuable than the Star of Africa. Love is more pure than the altar at the Vatican. Love is more majestic than Queen Victoria. Love is more grand than any ball. Love is more magical than Merlin. Love is more beautiful than any rose. Love is more strong than any soldier. Love is more delicate than the flesh of an infant. Love is older than the pyramids and more eternal than time itself. Love is as small as a hello and as large as a proclamation of everlasting affection shouted for all the world to hear. Love is absolutely lovely.

But sometimes some people let it all go. Its a shame.

Will you let me love you, love?
Speaking of which, did you catch my hidden message in My Thoughts?

Oh, and yes. I know that I am hopeless.
